Metaphor and Promise at the Beginning
Beneath the vast heavens,
an eagle spreads its wings wide,
leaning into winds that stretch beyond sight.
“Like eagles soaring” does not mean flapping in haste like a sparrow,
but opening the wings to their fullest—
because the eagle is waiting for the thermal,
the warm current that lifts it.
This waiting is not hesitation,
but trust in a promise:
those who wait upon the Lord
shall renew their strength and rise on wings like eagles.
In education,
